Adolescent Theraputic Support
A space to talk, create, explore.
Support for young people aged 14 to 17, offering a space to explore thoughts, feelings, relationships, experiences and whatever might be happening for them.
Sometimes words alone may not fully express what we are thinking, feeling or experiencing. Sessions bring together conversation, creativity and reflective approaches, giving young people different ways to express themselves, explore their experiences and make sense of what is happening for them.
These limited spaces are offered with Aoife as part of her ongoing professional training towards a Diploma in Integrative Adolescent Psychotherapy with the Greenane Centre.
Different Ways to Express
There is no one way to express how we feel.
Alongside conversation, young people can choose to explore through creativity, imagery, metaphor, writing, mindfulness and other reflective approaches.
Some sessions might involve lots of talking. Others might not.
The space is flexible, allowing each young person to find their own way of expressing and exploring what is happening for them.
What Might Bring You Here?
There doesn't need to be one particular reason.
It might be worries that won't quieten, emotions that feel overwhelming, changes in friendships or family life, confidence or identity, something difficult that has happened, or simply feeling unlike yourself.
Sometimes you might not know what is going on at all.
That's okay too.
There’s No Right Way
Adolescence is a time of figuring things out, including who you are, what matters to you and how you relate to the world around you.
This space isn't about having the right answers or knowing exactly what to say.
It's somewhere to explore, express, wonder, create and make sense of things at your own pace.
